Today, thanks to Angry Chicken, Tessa and I made our very own deodorant. I couldn't wait to try it, so as soon as it set up in the fridge I had it on! We used Sweet Orange as our essential oil and I feel cool, clean and citrus-y! Tomorrow we are tackling homemade lip balm, also courtesy of Angry Chicken's 'recipe'. We also went here today, Mountain Rose Herbs, and ordered oils, butters and tins. We found a few tins at a Michael's in San Jose for this first batch. At a dollar a piece it seemed like a steal. We also picked up some larger tins for body butter. There are cute little tin frames on the front to slide in labels. We're pretty jazzed about the idea of making all of our own body care products. And, yes, we're even going to try the no shampoo and apple cider vinegar rinse.
I have to attend to laundry and dinner - but expect pix sometime tonight!
