Since this Holiday Fabric Exchange project was already in the making I'm trying to finish it up so I can move on to some Christmas gift sewing. Here's the wreath appliqué I pieced tonight. It's just pinned on and I'm still working on some other appliquéd shapes down by the base of the tree.
I don't want this quilt to be too busy, but I also want to add a festive holiday feeling to it. I may even embroider "Happy Holidays" or some such across that cream piece right under the tree. What do you all think? BTW, this is measuring 41"x54" right now without binding.

Don't know how you get so much done! Yes definitely something in the bottom cream area..like your text idea. I see it with dark binding, maybe that deep dark red color. Glad you are feeling better.

Funny, as I was reading I thought the embroidery would be an awesome addition. Great Minds Think Alike! I looks great.
