I'm trying to watch the debate...but I also wanted to make a post here about the fabulous four days I just had in Salt Lake City, Utah at Sewing Summit. But there is also something else at play here - complete and total lockdown of my BRAIN! When you see so many beautifully handmade things, so many gorgeous fabrics, so many tantalizng patterns...guess what happens when you get home? You freeze up. You panic. What do I make now? What is my new priority list for holiday gift making, given what I've just seen in Utah?
First, I took pictures of everything we were given and the fabric I bought. I unpacked and collapsed. Today I actually made two key fobs and finished a messenger bag. One thing I have promised myself? I will not start another large project without finishing all of my WIPs. The other area of my creativity I have neglected is here - my blog. I'm going to be working with my mom to get our giveaways back on track, redesign the blog, and begin highlighting other artists on a regular basis. I have spent a LOT of time on Pinterest and I want to share free patterns and tutorials here, on Dizzy Little Kingdom. And lastly, I want to GIVE you information about how to find inexpensive notions and bling for your mixed media projects, doll making and bags.
Ok, the debate is over and I need to get ready for bed - just wanted to check in with all of you. I need to Photoshop my pictures (also known as 'cropping out all the junk') and then I'll do a big post.
Goodnight!
Betty & Dee
I still have all my stuff spread out over my cutting table. I don't even know where to start!!!
