GIVEAWAY 007 is ON! Are you IN? Just leave a comment!

Ok, maybe I'm nuts, but I absolutely LOVE embroidering tea towels.  My grannie and my mom always had huge flour sack tea towels embroidered with dancing tea pots, spoons and forks, cross stitched kitties hanging out laundry and Sun Bonnet Sue days-of-the-week in our kitchen.  So, yes, I've made over a dozen Halloween themed tea towels and am giving them away, along with Candy Corn soap from Hilary at A Slice of Delight  ~ so don't miss out!  Just leave one comment here and you are IN.  I will announce 2 winners next Wednesday.  Each of them will receive 2 tea towels and a bar of soap.  It's just that easy!  Goodluck!

Maui Wowie here we come!

THIS IS THE INFINITY POOL that I will be lounging by on Friday afternoon...Wailea, Maui Marriott here we come. Laundry almost finished.  Suitcases on bed ready to be filled. 3 new books. 3 of my art deco cross stitch designs to work on. Water color paints & paper ready. Water color pencils, too. Snorkel gear packed.  4 cans of spray-on sunscreen. 7 days of kayaking, swimming with turtles, drinks by the pool, Japanese eggplant & teriyaki chicken, papayas, pineapple, and the taste of sea salt in the air.  I promise to tweet and blog but really, don't expect too much from me, okay?

Welcome Home Hunter!!!

My youngest attends grad school at Northeastern in Boston.  He will be home tonight for a little 3 week visit.  He's leaving in December for a co-op overseas so I'm really excited about him coming home now.  He's going to catch up with all of his friends in San Francisco while Phil & I take a little trip to Maui; he's our airport ride.  That's why I had kids, right? So they could wait on ME hand and foot?? Ha!  Doesn't happen often, but it is nice when they can help out their ancient parents.  He's even going to watch the beasts for a few days! Can't wait to see you sweetie!!!

Giveaway 006 Winners & GIVEAWAY 007 is ON!!!

Hi everyone! Thank you for visiting our blog and leaving comments on our Halloween Giveaway. There were 16 of you!

When I was buying the fabric to back these towels the quilt shop lady asked if I was selling them on my blog. I explained I was having a giveaway. She couldn't quite grasp the concept, nor could she understand why I was so excited. Which made me sad, to think that doing and giving is such a foreign idea to some people. So I further explained that I was kinda/sorta retired and this was part of my craft and hobby; making things and giving them away to people I will probably never meet in person. The more I tried to explain the more perplexed she became. So I finally just shut up. (Maybe I'll drop off a towel for her ;D ...)

As always I've relied on www.random.org/ to pick the magical numbers...and the winners are......

                                                        Jennifer of @pretty&preppy

                                                                     ~ and ~

                                                           Cindy of @artistsforhire

AND a special birthday winner, Janet of @lolapinkfabrics !!!

Congratulations ladies! You will each receive two hand embroidered Halloween Tea Towels made by me, trimmed with vintage ribbon and backed in festive fall fabric, and one bar of Candy Corn Soap made by Hilary at A Slice of Delight.

Please email your addy's to me!

Giveaway 007 is identical to this one and starts NOW!

Giveaway 006 is ON!! So, are you IN??

Can you believe this awesome, ghoulish giveaway?!

Same rules apply, just leave me one comment and you're IN!

Each week there will be 2 winners.  Each winner will receive 2 embroidered tea towels and one bar of heavenly scented Candy Corn soap from my Twitter friend Hilary at A Slice of Delight ...and I'm okay with NO ONE winning because I'd love to keep all of this soap for myself! Click on the link above if you can't wait and want to visit her Etsy shop RIGHT NOW.  Currently I'm torn between my love of Mohogany, Acai Berry and the Apricot Fresia Salt bars. Oh, and the Peppermint! And the Lemon Coconut...and the Cranberry Spice...just go there.  Just get one bar. Whip it into a cream and shave your legs. Wash your hair with it. One bar lasts me about 3 weeks and costs about the same as my venti green tea frap from Starbucks.  And if I have to choose between these two indulgences, I'll gladly give up my frappacino!!
